Seed Forum Process
The project team organized three Seed Forum processes (out of four) during the spring and autumn 2015. The first SF process started in March with the nomination process. 20 companies were nominated/registered and 12 attended SF Pitch Training held on 19 May 2015. Out of 12 companies 4 companies presented their investment case on SF Investor Conference namely: Edujoc, Elavia-Confex, Nikor Topografie SRL and DV Trade International SRL. First SF Conference was organized on 26 May 2015. In total 68 participants took part.
The second SF process started in September with the nomination process. In total 28 companies registerd for the Pitch Training, 19 companies attended SF Pitch Training held on 7 October 2015. Out of 19 companies 7 were selected that presented their investment cases on the SF Investor Conference: Vintage, QSystems, Fentura, Fithero, WebTB, iSholars, Lavielace. Second SF Conference was organized on 9 November 2015. In total 33 participants took part at the Conference.
The third SF process started in March 2016 with the nomination process. The Pitch Training was held in ODIMM on 31 March 2016. The Third SF investor conference in Chisinau was held on 21 April 2016.
The forth SF process started end of August 2016. The Pitch Training was held in iHUB premises on 22 September 2016. The forth SF Investor Conference was held together with an opening ceremony of the iHUB in Chisinau. In total six companies presented their investment case: AVO Alex Cebotari; Baro Teo Scorpan; MTR Rosaura Sachez; Baby Moon Roman Gluk; Energy Solaris Ana Hajdeu and lion Transport Alexandru Vizir
Compilation of databases and Moldovan Business Angel Network
The project team prepared: 1) database of 23 nominators (other business support organisations) in Moldova; 2) database of 6300 companies; 3) database of more then 210 investors.
Collection of information and data on potential investors started in spring 2015. The programming of the web-based tool for MBAN has been started in autumn 2015.
Feasiblity Study –Access to Finance in Moldova
The Study has been prepared. It provides an assessment of the economic, political and security environment for the establishment and growth of iHUB in Chisinau. Project team has agreed with Argentum to provide input to the Feasibility Study. Argentum’ experts will also provide quality control of the final document and their final opinion on the possibilities to set up the similar fund in Moldova.
iHUB staff trained and in operation
ACCESS’s success factor in securing sustainability is to recruit and train local staff/managers from day one and give them responsibility step by step. iHUB in Chisinau now have a well-trained team of young local managers.
